Science
Oceans Blueprint focuses on research and provision of technical support that helps us better understand marine environments, how they are changing, and how to safeguard them.
Three ways to work with us:
Real-World application
We provide technical expertise in real-worl research applications — to investigate how the status and trends of wildlife are changing, and how human activities interact with them.
This stream of work involves independant marine wildlife research and monitoring and scientific review.
Research and Discovery
Our blue sky research explores new questions and ideas to better understand drivers of marine life and the challenges it faces in the future.
It includes discovery, emerging issues, testing new approaches, and identifying gaps in knowledge that need further investigation.
Informing Decisions
We support the use and translation of science into management, policy and guideline development.
This includes developing monitoring frameworks, informing policy, and providing scientific advice to support decisions by government, industry and the community.
We work with a range of partners and collaborators including industry, government, universities and community.
